Dr. Susan Lacy is a board-certified gynecologist with more than twenty years of experience caring for women in the Memphis community. Known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach, she has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while helping patients feel empowered in their health decisions.
Dr. Lacy received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins Medical School and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 1997. Following her training, she began practicing in Memphis and has remained deeply connected to the city and the patients she serves ever since.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lacy has worked in both private practice and the nonprofit sector, gaining a broad perspective on the healthcare needs of the community. Her work has consistently focused on expanding access to quality gynecologic care while embracing innovative approaches to women’s health.
Dr. Lacy founded MORE901 in Midtown Memphis with a vision to create a modern, patient-focused medical practice that goes beyond traditional gynecologic care. The practice was designed to address the evolving health needs of women and the broader community by combining reproductive healthcare with wellness, hormone optimization, transgender care, and aesthetic services.
Her goal with MORE901 is simple but powerful: to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and cared for as whole individuals. By blending medical expertise with a personalized approach, Dr. Lacy strives to make high-quality healthcare more accessible to the Midtown community.
Dr. Lacy has long been involved in community advocacy and local initiatives that improve the quality of life in Memphis. She is a founder of Physicians for Urban Parks, an organization dedicated to promoting the health benefits of green spaces in urban environments.
She also currently serves as a board member of Protect Our Aquifer, an organization focused on protecting Memphis’s drinking water and natural resources for future generations.
Dr. Lacy lives in Midtown Memphis and is the proud mother of four children. When she is not caring for patients or working on community initiatives, she enjoys staying active and is an avid tennis player.
